Mr. Robert “Inky” Lee Thompson, 45, of Union City died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at his residence.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Greater Victory Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Sanders officiating.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the church on Saturday.
Rev. Phillip Sanders will officiate.
Pallbearers will be James Marshall, Kenny McCloud, Kelly Macklin, Robert Fulton, James Milligan and Trent Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, James Gary, Cornelius McElrath and Treon McElrath.
He was born Sept. 9, 1966, in Union City, son of Willie Mae Thompson and the late Montrel Thompson Sr.
A U.S. Army veteran, he had been a cook at the former Searcy Restaurant and was a member of Right Path Ministries.
He is also survived by four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Frances and Earnest Roberson, Mary Abbott, Barbara and James Puckett and Mental and Willie Ross; his brother, Montrel Thompson Jr.; six nieces, four nephews; eight great-nieces; seven great-nephews; and several other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Pearline Turner; and his brother, Dennis James Thompson.
