Mr. Robert “Tater” Ball, 75, of Union City died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.Robert Lee Ball was born July 14, 1938, in Gibson County, Tennessee, to the late Rev. and Sis. E. L. Ball. He professed Christ at an early age at Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he was an active member of the choir until failing health prevented him from attending. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Rae Ball of Union City, Tennessee; two grandsons, Marcus Treadwell of Union City, Tennessee and Kevin Treadwell of San Diego, California; four sisters, Mary M. Taylor of Waukegan, Illinois, Geneva McFall of Grayslake, Illinois, Mattie R. King of Zion, Illinois and Maggie L. (John) Slater of Waukegan, Illinois; his Shiloh Church Family and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mable Jenkins; three brothers, Walter Thomas, Hardy Ball and Charlie Ball and one nephew, Alfonzo Ball.     Rawls Funeral Home – Union City (731) 885-8110
