Miss Robin Arween Thompson, 50, of Martin died Monday, March 22, 2021, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown in Nashville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at St. James Church in Dresden. Interment will follow in Sunrise Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday at the church.
Miss Robin Arween Thompson was born May 18, 1970 in Martin, TN.
Robin was one of 15 children born to the late Robert L Thompson and the first of three daughters born to the late Jacqueline Edwards. Along with her parents, she also precedes in death her paternal grandparents Ms. Mary Arween Nunley and Mr. Reverlee Thompson; maternal grandparents Aaron and Molly Edwards; two brothers, David Johnson and Rico Lee Thompson.
Robin accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. James CME Church. She attended Dresden Elementary, Middle, and High schools as a youth. On July 4, 2005, Robin met the love of her life, Aaron Moody and to this union a daughter was born. She and Aaron remained together until her death. Robin loved singing, cooking, dancing and spending time with her daughter, family and friends. She loved her family very much and was always known for calling or visiting just to say hello.
She worked at MTD in Martin, TN for 19 years until she fell ill. She was a movie and music enthusiast. Robin’s favorite was color purple and was known for having an excellent memory, remembering vivid details of family and childhood events.
Robin leaves to cherish her memory: her life partner, Aaron Moody and their beloved daughter, Alaysha Moody; two honorary daughters, Danielle and Brooke Moody, all from Martin, TN; Eight sisters Renita (Howard) Thompson Hogan of Dickson, TN; Rebecca Thompson of Dickson, TN; Rosalind (Micheal) Valerio of Dickson, TN; Kathryn (Micheal) Garner of Nashville, TN; Gloria Jean (Mark) Jackson of Dickson, TN; Romona Thompson of Killen, TN; Tonya Edwards of Martin, TN; and Kennethia Edwards of Columbia, TN; six brothers Juanest (Eartha) Kathy of Centerville, TN; La Troy (Lynette) Russ of Antioch, TN; Robert L Thompson Jr. of Dickson, TN; Richard Thompson of Columbia, TN; William Harris of Hickman County, TN; Rodrequeis L Thompson of Memphis, TN a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
