Mr. Roosevelt Gunn, 100, of Ridgely died Friday, August 20, 2021, at his home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgely Chapel Missionary Church. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Roosevelt “Dip” Gunn was born on March 25, 1921, in Jackson, TN to the late Will and Ella Hopper Gunn. He was a member of Ridgely Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, a World War II Army veteran serving from December 13, 1942 to January 21, 1946 and he was a mason. He was a good man, a loving husband and father. Roosevelt was a hard-working man that loved to go fishing. He was married to the late Rossie Mae Gunn. He leaves to cherish his precious memories daughters, Audrey Dale Gunn of Benton Harbor, MI, Kathy Gunn of Milwaukee, WI, Debra Lynn (Elvis Cooper) Gunn of Kalamazoo, MI and Jamangie (Paul Broil) Gunn of Battle Creek, MI; sons, Jerry Curtis McCoy and Billy Joe (Renea) Gunn both of Benton Harbor, MI, Ricky Allen Gunn of Milwaukee, WI, Jerry (Somsom) McCoy of Raleigh, NC, John Roy (Hazel Williams) Gunn, Ben Jenkins, Charles Belk, Ivory Belk and James Russell Belk all of Tiptonville, TN; a special cousin, James (Emma) Jones of Tiptonville, TN a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
