Rosie Anna Allen

Mrs. Rosie Anna Allen, 76, of Kenton died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Volunteer Community Hospital. Services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Kenton Church of Christ with Bro. Roger Jones officiating. Interment will follow in New Victory Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church. She was born to the late William and Louisianna McCurry, Jr. on October 10, 1935, in Humphrey County, Mississippi. She was united in holy matrimony in 1957 to the Late Earsie Allen, Sr. She was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ. She leaves to cherish her memories: Willie McCurry, Dorothy Haynes, Amy (Quinton, Sr.) Lee, Earsie Allen, Jr., Clyde Allen, Percy (Elaine) Allen, Patricia Allen, Andrew (Regina) Allen and Deborah (Micheal, Sr.) Hussey. She is also survived by a sister, Ophelia Brown of Itta Bena, Mississippi; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; another son and daughters, Bobby White, Vanessa Simpson and Melissa Simpson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, William B. Cannon; two brothers, Joe and John McCurry; a stepdaughter, Bonita Allen Journey. Rawls Funeral Home – Union City 731-885-8110
