Ruberta Reynolds

Mrs. Ruberta Reynolds, 99, of Puryear died Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at her home.

Services will be held at noon on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.

She was the daughter of the late Freeman Puckett, Sr and Muranda Puckett was born on October 21, 1924. She was married to L.B. Reynolds on January 25, 1945, who proceeded her in death.

Ruberta (Aunt Birdie as she was lovingly referred) professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she devoted her love for Christ as a choir member, the Missionary Society, Sunday School teacher, President of the Baptist Training Union and a faithfully servant for many years until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Freeman Puckett, Jr., Puryear, Tennessee; one sister Frances Willis, Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons, George (Ann) Mayo, Newnan, Georgia; Donald (Janice) Reynolds, Knoxville, Tennessee; and, Michael Reynolds, Puryear, Tennessee; five daughters, Gladys Reynolds, Cincinnati, Ohio; Bea (James) Heflin, Dayton, Ohio; Jeanette Reynolds, Fredericksburg, Virginia; Elizabeth Reynolds, Dayton, Ohio; and Deborah Reynolds, Puryear, Tennessee; two special daughters Lois Crump and Dorothy Blalock; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
