Sadie Sadel Tharp

Ms. Sadie Sadel Tharp, 97, of South Fulton died Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at her residence. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2012, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Elder James Olds, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Sadie Sadel Tharp entered this life on May 12, 1915. She was born one of eleven children to Lillian and Sandy Mitchell, all of whom preceded her in death. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Tharp, whom also preceded her in death. No children were born to this union. She was a member of Christ Temple Holiness Church and Elder James Olds, Jr. was her pastor. She leaves to cherish her memory two nieces who were her caretakers, Betty Mays of South Fulton, Tennessee, where she resided and Doris Bass of Union City, Tennessee; two great nieces, Cheryl Vinson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Michelle (Jimmy) Mosley of Union City, Tennessee and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
