Stacy Gene Luter

Mr. Stacy Gene Luter, 42, of Glenwood, IA died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Services will be held at noon Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Trezevant, TN with Bishop Lawrence Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the church on Saturday. He was born March 9, 1970, to Bonny and the late Hester Mai Luter in Cedar Rapids, IA. Stacy enjoyed basketball, especially during the Michael Jordan era. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and a variety of music, including Michael Jackson and Billy Ocean. He is survived by his father, Bonny Luter of Cedar Rapids, IA; sister, Katiana Arnold of Cedar Rapids, IA; two brothers Randall (Jennifer) Luter of Racine, WI, and Alan Luter of New Hope, MN; one niece’ Rachaele Luter of Racine, WI; five aunts, Angeline Wolfe of Trezevant, TN, Barbara Hillsman of Memphis, TN, Lucille Harris of Trezevant, TN, Ophelia (Oscar) Adkisson of Racine, WI, and Sky Luter of McKenzie, TN; one great-great aunt, Flossie Howard of Atwood, TN; five uncles, Willie D. Luter of Atwood, TN, William (Robbie) Hillsman of Jackson, TN, Frankie D. (Henritta) Hillsman of Trezevant, TN, Lester (Christella) Hillsman of Yuma, TN, and Vincent Hillsman of Memphis, TN; and two very special cousins who were raised like sisters, Shelia and Therie Cutchlow. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, Georgia Mai and W.D. Hillsman, Odartha and Mary Lee Luter; aunt, Shirley Mai Cutchlow; two uncles, Hosie Lee Hillsman and Don Luter.
