Mr. Stanley Alford, 52, of Fulton died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Martin Health Care.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Mercer, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlea Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Stanley “Suga Bear” Alford began his life May 7, 1961 in Elmira, New York. He was the son of Sarah Josephine Alford and the late Willie B. Alford.
Stanley attended South Fulton High School. He enjoyed cooking and being in the fellowship of friends and love ones. Before becoming ill, he was employed by Lewis Lumber Co., Clinton, Kentucky.
Stanley is preceded in death by his father, Willie B. Alford, and a sister Christine Alford Walls.
He leaves to cherish is memories his mother, Sarah Josephine Alford of Fulton, KY; two brothers, Willie Michael Alford of Fulton, KY and Glen Gaylon Alford (Angela) of Leland, North Carolina; three sisters, Frieda Alford Bullard of Lawrenceville, GA, Rev. Kimberley Alford Traylor of Fulton, KY and Melvina Alford Palmer of McDonough, GA; a special friend, Willene Griffin of Erie, PA; two nephews, Joshua Traylor and Derrick Palmer; three nieces, Angela Sapp, Jessica Traylor and Jennifer Alford, and a host of great nephews and nieces and a friend of the family Octavia Hollborough of Lawrenceville, GA.
