Stanley Lawrence Buford, Sr.

Mr. Stanley Lawrence Buford,Sr., 59, of Martin died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at McCabe United Methodist Church with Rev. Orrin Cowley officiating. Interment will follow in Parham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon until the time of service at the church on Thursday. He was born March 5, 1957, to Barbara Buford and the late Newell Buford, Jr. He was a 1975 graduate of Lake High School in Los Angeles. He then went to trade school where he learned auto mechanics, welding and body and fender. He was a long-time employee of Anthony Pools while living in Los Angeles. He then relocated to Martin with his mother. There he worked for the City of Martin. In his spare time, his hobbies included painting, fixing cars but his passion was flying his model planes. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Barbara Buford of Martin, Tennessee; two sisters, Deliliah Buford of Los Angeles, California and Angela Booker of Martin, Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Newell Bufford, Jr. and his son, Stanley Lawrence Bufford, Jr. Rawls Funeral Home - Union City 731-885-8110
