Mr. Sylvesta Cole, 72, of Hickman died Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. He was born October 27, 1952, in Hickman, KY, to Billard Cole and Ophelia Cobb. Sylvesta attended and graduated from Fulton County High School. He spent his entire adult life in Hickman. He served in the Kentucky National Guard for 4 years and retired from Hanafee Sawmill, Troy, TN after 35 years. Sylvesta was a kind and gentle man who never met a stranger, loved his family, making jokes and gardening. He leaves to mourn his passing, his companion of over 50 years Dinah Warren, three children Lament Wilkins, Sharie Cole, and Marlena Crumble, eight grandchildren Kevin (Imeda) Alexander, Devin Alexander, Kieesha Alexander, Careena Lee, Ashton Wilkins, Michia fondly called P by her grandaddy, and Michael Crumble, Jr., and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by 5 sisters: Gwendolyn Davidson, Elizabeth Duke, Anna Pierson, Caroline Tabor and Jaunita (Donnie Joe) Griffin. 1 brother Thomas Moore of Jackson, TN, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded by in death by his parents, stepson, Gregory Warren and 2 brothers Bennie Gordon and William Cobb. McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home - Union City 731-885-8110
