Sylvester "C.V." Olive

Mr. Sylvester "C.V." Olive, 70, of Paris died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Henry County Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2011, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. His wife, Freddie M. Porter Olive, survives. They were married on Dec. 2, 1961. He was born Sept. 6, 1941, in Cottage Grove, a son of the late Herschel and Jewel Page Olive. He was a retired Tosh Farms truck driver. He was a member of The Church of the Living God on Porter Street in Paris. In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters: Diane D. Ray of Paris and Pamela J. Olive of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers: Bobby (Mary) Olive of Paris and R.C. (Florence) Olive of Murray; six sisters: Bessie Williams and Zora Sanders, both of Paris, Virginia Skinner, Joy (Bill) Diggs and Verlynn (Leroy) Gaines, all of Murray, and Donna Diaz of New York City; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He also was preceded in death by four sisters: Mildred Todd, Jennie Kennely, Ester Blakemore and Pauline Byars; and a brother: Herschel Olive Jr. Rawls Funeral Home – Paris 731-642-1515
