Mr. Taijuan Thomas, 42, of Sharon died Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, at McCabe United Methodist Church.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 19, 1981, he was a son to Katie Thomas (Robinson) and Sylvester Roach, and later, a stepson to Robert Robinson.
A man of devout faith and a pillar within his community, Tai'Juan's life was a testament to his belief in living a purposeful life guided by God's hand. His work with the local youth, advocating for resilience against adversity and the importance of wise choices, reflected his own journey from a challenging adolescence to a respected adult within the community.
Tai'Juan's role as a father was paramount. He became a parent during his senior year at Westview High, an undertaking he managed with unwavering devotion while pursuing further education at UTM. His children, Princess Eriana (23), Princess Gia'Cella (4), Christian and Nicholas (21), Marcellous (15), Giovanni and Gianni (11), and Giotto (6), were his pride and joy.
Adept in various trades, Tai'Juan began his career at Walmart before discovering his true vocation in carpentry. His skillful hands crafted homes and structures, leaving a tangible legacy of his talent across the community. This secret craftsman found solace in his work, as well as in the enjoyment of sports and outdoor activities, being particularly fond of basketball, football, and fishing.
Tai'Juan is survived by his loving family: daughters; sons; mother, Katie Thomas (Robinson); stepfather, Robert Robinson “Pops”; father, Sylvester Roach (with Mary); siblings Shaun, Bryan “Petey”, Atari “Boss”, Mr. Marvin Nichols, Jr. (with Jessica), Veronica, Miracle “Pookey”, and ShunRita; fiancée, Tanise Hunt; and a community of relatives including numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His passing was preceded by that of his grandmother Dorothy Thomas , Auntie Faye Tipton, and Uncle Eddie Joe Thomas .
