Ms. DaShanda “Tammy” Davis, 37, of Nashville formerly of Union City died Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at her residence. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Union City Civic Auditorium with Elder Stanley Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the auditorium.
She was born Aug. 8, 1977, in St. Louis, daughter of Sandra (Rogers) Davis of Union City and the late Spencer Davis. She was a 1995 graduate of Union City High School and also attended Dyersburg State Community College and Tennessee State University. She was employed by the Tennessee Department of Corrections at the Charles Bass Correctional Complex.She is survived by her mother; her son, Sandraes Smith of Nashville; her cousin, whom she raised, Deja Clark of St. Louis; her brother, Spencer Dewayne Davis of St. Louis; four sisters, Shamya Davis and Qiondria Davis, both of Union City, Angela Davis of Martin and Shaqira and Robert Davis-Horton of St. Louis; two nephews, Spencer Dewayne Davis Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., and Isaiah Brown of St. Louis; and five nieces, Noel Davis, Anyua Davis and Nukyiah Davis, all of Martin, and Zanyah Horton and Antiya Brown, both of St. Louis.
