Mrs. Thelma Glynn Williams, 84, of South Fulton died Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at the church.
Thelma Glynn Williams was born on May 25, 1939 in Hickman, Kentucky to the union of Nathaniel and Ester Bowden. She was educated in the Rosenwald School system in South Fulton, Tennessee. She was married to the late Willie B. Williams for over 60 years. She was a member of Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church until moving to Nashville, Tennessee to be closer to her family.
Her hobbies were sewing, reading her Bible. She completed reading the whole Bible three times, making homemade bread, shopping and caring for her flowers.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Ester Bowden, loving devoted husband, Willie B. Williams, siblings; Lela M. Blythe and Abullah Muzlim; sister in law Rebecca Muzlim.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving son, Andrew and devoted daughter/niece Ester (Wendell)
grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
