Thomas Harmon

Mr. Henry Thomas Harmon, 68, of Union City died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Baptist Health in Paducah. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Anoited Church of The Living God with Rev. Richard Davis officiating. Henry Thomas Harmon was born July 1, 1946, in Ripley, Tennessee, to the union of Earlean and Edgar Harmon, Sr., who both preceded him in death. Thomas was united in marriage with Martha Jeanette Reynolds on February 14, 1981, to whom he remained married until going home to be with the Lord. He was a life-long entrepreneur and a jack of all trades. He lived hard and worked even harder to ensure his family would never go without or want for anything. Thomas had a heart of gold and was loved by many, as he was a very giving and generous person. He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters and a son: Betty Wright of Martin, Tennessee, Lori Abbott of Tonawanda, New York, Lisa Abbott of Union City, Tennessee, Marie Harmon of Shelbyville, Tennessee and Marcus (Monquita) King of Gadsden, Alabama. He is also survived by two siblings, Dorothy Halliburton of Paducah, Kentucky and Edgar “Sonny” (Katherine) Harmon, Jr. of Union City, Tennessee; two uncles, Alf Young of Ripley, Tennessee and Welton Young of Dayton, Ohio; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
