Thomas Andrew Pettigrew

Mr. Thomas Pettigrew, 72, of South Fulton died Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.

Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Brooks Chapel Kingdom Harvest Church. Interment will follow in Greenlea Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.

He was born on November 22, 1950, in Lexington, TN to the late Eva (Kizer) Pettigrew and Curry Pettigrew.

He was a member of South Fulton Antioch M.B.C. in South Fulton, TN where he was baptized and loved the Lord very much.

He was employed by Fulton Fire Department in Fulton,TN where he was a Lieutenant and also worked in the ambulance department as an EMT for many years.

He also had his own landscaping & moving business in South Fulton which served for the twin cities area. Thomas was a City Commissioner for South Fulton which he served for several years and was an advocate in the community and believed in helping people in need within his community and elsewhere.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife; Annette Pettigrew of 32 years; his brother, Paul Parker and Kenneth Pettigrew, Sr.; his parents: Eva Pettigrew and Curry Pettigrew; brother-in-law, James Pryor; father-in-law, Robert Vanderford; and sister-in-law, Oneita Parker.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three children: Schree (Rick)Hughes of Norton, MA, Kanesha Pirtle, Thomas Andrew Pettigrew of South, Fulton, TN; seven grandchildren: Shamiah Pirtle, Destinee and Daveon Pettigrew, Marie Pettigrew of South Fulton, TN, Quinterrius Udley of Clarksville, TN, Jenna Pedranti and Tessa Hughes of Norton, MA; five siblings: Peggy Pryor, Patsy Pettigrew, Dennis
Pettigrew, Danny Boy (Margaret) Pettigrew of Fulton, KY, and Linda (Jeff) Morris of Water Valley, KY; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
