Mr. Tommie Lee Brewer, 76, of Union City died Saturday, May 30, 2020, at The Waters of Union City.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Tommie Lee Brewer was born March 5th, 1944 in Hickman, KY to the late Azel Wilson and the late Richard Brewer. He worked as a foreman at the Morning Star Nursery for 15 years. He also worked at the Former Beverly Healthcare and the Union City Housing Authority in maintenance until he retired in 2018. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Alice Reid in Chicago, Illinois on July 4, 1985. They were married for 34 years.

He is survived by three daughter; Tawana Reid of Union City, TN, Anita Dixon, and Alisa Martin of Gary, IN; one son, Marcus Reid of Union City, TN, a son-in- law; Richard Nolan of Union City, TN, a Goddaughter Cedrica Maze of Union City, TN, one sister Gladys Carr, a brother-in-law; Stacey Carr, Sr. of Union City, TN, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

He was always known as “POP” to all who knew him, young and old, and will always be “POP” Forever and Always.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Reid Brewer , niece Reverend Princess Travenia Woods , Odeather Reid, mother-in-law Rosalind Hawkins, sister-in-law, and two god-grandchildren Reginae and Rekyrra Copper.
