Mrs. Toni Thomas Nicholson, 54 of Murfreesboro formerly of Union City died Monday, September 21, 2015, at Alive Hospice in Madison, TN. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Greater Bethel Church of God In Christ. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Toni Elaine Thomas Nicholson was born in Union City, Tennessee on August 18, 1961 to James L. Thomas and Flossie L. Thomas. She was one of four children. She accepted Christ in her early teens and continued serving God until her passing. Toni played basketball in middle school. She graduated from Union City High School in 1980 and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. She was crowned Ms. Black Obion County in 1980. Toni moved from Union City to the Washington D.C. area where she lived for 25 plus years. After the passing of her husband in July of 2008 Toni moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee until her passing. Toni was a speaker, mentor and author of “A Dance with Destiny”. In September 2014, Toni was commissioned as Prophetess to the Nations and was consecrated in October, 2014, through International Ministers Fellowship, USA. In October, 2014, she assisted, along with Evangelist Kasondra Watkins and Apostle Karen Fikes, in the planting and establishing of Releasing the Fire Kingdom International Ministries, an Omega Ministry Church located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Toni served as a Prophetess, Teacher and Praise and Worship Leader. Preceding her in death is her husband, Eric David Nicholson and father, James L. Thomas. She leaves to cherish two sons, Andre Jackson of Washington, D.C. and Frank Jackson, III, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She will be missed by her mother, Flossie Thomas of Union City, Tennessee, brothers Jackie (Marie) Thomas of Martin, Tennessee, and Wayne (Cozella) Thomas of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, sister Debra (Josh) Johnson of Springfield, Missouri.She leaves 5 nieces; Tennille King, Jaclyn Marshall, Jamie Clark, Brittney Vann, Kalesha Johnson and one nephew, LaBrock Thomas.
