Wayne Hutcherson

Mr. Wayne Hutcherson, 93, of Fulton died Friday, October 15, 2021.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Brooks Chapel Kingdom Harvest. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Water Valley, KY.

Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at the church.

Wayne “Buddy Roe” Hutcherson was born April 12, 1928 to Hershel and Bessie (Latham) Hutcherson in Fulton, Ky.

Wayne attended school in Water Valley, Ky. He professed his faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Brooks Chapel Church for many years until relocating to Chicago, Ill where he attended Moore’s Temple. Wayne worked as a crane operator for the Steel Company and was a member of the Steel Workers Union #878.

Buddy Roe who could always be heard exclaiming “Hello World!” was a lively man who loved the Blues, boxing, weight lifting, baseball, football and playing his numbers. Wayne loved his children and especially loved spoiling is grandchildren who loved listening to his many stories.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a devoted son Harry Hutcherson of Fulton, KY and son Shawn Hutcherson of Sacramento, California, a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Grandma Liz” Hutcherson, his parents Hershel and Bessie (Latham) Hutcherson, sons Harold, Gene, Greg, Larry and Anthony Hutcherson, sister Ruthie Lee (Hutcherson) Wilkins, Brother Clarence Hutcherson eight aunts and four uncles.
