William Jewell Brown

Mr. William Jewell Brown, 55, of Union City died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, MS. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Visions Community Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Holiday, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. He was born March 11, 1960, to the union of Rebecca Brown and the late Milton Brown, Sr. He was employed for many years at Beverly Enterprise until his illness prevented him from working. He attended Brown Chapel AME Church of Union City, Tennessee. On May 19, 2001, he was united in holy matrimony to Jane Angela Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Jane Angela Brown; his children, Brian Ross and Brianna Tate; four stepchildren, Ryan (Tammy) Dickerson, Robbie (Laretha) Dickerson, Rashad Dickerson and Jamia Dickerson; three children that he raised, La Trecia (Robert) Perry, Marcus Smith and Brian Smith; his mother, Rebecca (Lester) Massey; six sisters, Gwyn (David) Talley, Felicia (Mitchell) Churchwell, Regina (Bobby) Vinson, Bonita Easley (Jimmie), Patricia Brown and Tabitha Brown; seven brothers, Melvin (Jacqueline) Brown, Greg Brown (Linda), Darrell (Carolyn) Snow, Vinson Snow, Milton (Keisha) Snow, Larry Brown and Grant (Cheryl) Blair; uncles and aunts, Robert (Carolyn) Tate, Louise (Horace) Martin, Minnie Harden and Loretta Tate and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Brown, Sr.; brother, Milton Brown, Jr.; brother-in-law, Eric Powell, Sr. and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
