William Oliver Robinson, Sr.

Mr. William Oliver Robinson,Sr. 78, of Paris died Saturday, January 08, 2011, at Tennessee State Veterans Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Leon White officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. He was born in Chicago on November 21, 1932, he was a son of the late William and Inez Robinson. Robinson was a U.S. Army veteran and received the Purple Heart. His wife, Millie Mitchell Robinson, survives. They were married December 21, 1951. He also leaves two sons: William O. (Deborah) Robinson of Paris and Eric (Carey) Robinson of Langley Air Force Base in Virginia; two daughters: Yvonne (Joe) Webb and Althea (Bobby) Teague, all of Paris.a daughter-in-law: Linda Robinson of Memphis; a sister: Kathleen Russell of Chicago; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and two special friends: Mike Curry and Beverly Johnson. He also was preceded in death by a son: Rodell Robinson Sr.; a grandson: Rodell Robinson Jr.; and a brother: Richard Robinson. Rawls Funeral Home – Paris 731-642-1515
