William Allen Russell

William Allen Russell, born on July 18, 1958, in Henry County, Tennessee, passed away on November 17, 2025, at West Tennessee Healthcare Henry County Hospital in Paris, Tennessee. He was 67 years old at the time of his passing.

William's life was enriched by his treasured relationships with family and friends. He is survived by four brothers: Steve Russell, James Russell, Archie (Tonya) Russell, and Raymond Russell; and five sisters: Margaret Russell, Amy Bobo, Linda (Joe) Dumas, Annie (Lamont) Matthews, and Eddie Parker. William also leaves behind a special niece, Towana Williams; and special nephews, Reggie Atkins and Chris Atkins, along with a host of other nieces and nephews who will remember him dearly. His aunt, Nell Blanton; his caregiver and friend, Hope Johnson; and close friends, Travis and Karen Guinns, and Barbara Pearson.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Izora Diggs Russell; his adopted parents, Raymond and Laura Faye Diggs Russell; his sister, Alice Russell Johnson; and his nephew, Roderick Atkins.

The family will gather to honor William’s life at a Memorial Graveside Service on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Greenwood Cemetery, located at 94-160 Greenwood Cemetery Rd, Paris, TN 38242.
