Mr. Willie Joe Brown, 54, of Hickman died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Parkway Regional Hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Richard Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Willie Joe Brown, known as “Joe Joe”, was born to Pearlean Smith Brown and the late Brisco E. Brown on July 13, 1960, in Champaign-Urbana , Illinois . He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved mother, Pearlean Smith Brown, brother, Briscoe J. Brown, Jr., and sister, Darlene Sallee, all of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; three sons, Montreyel (Tia) Brown and Justin (Olivia) Melvin, both of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and Rodderick Houston of Hickman, Kentucky; three sons whom he helped raise, Treon McElrath, Cornelius McElrath and Bernard Boykin, all of Union City, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a companion for many years, Sharon Cheirs of Hickman, Kentucky.
