Mr. Willie D. Huff, 84, of Woodland Mills died Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at his home.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Anointed Church of The Living God. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday at the church.
Willie D Huff (Big Daddy) was born December 10, 1941, in Fulton County, Kentucky to the late Will Huff and Lavern Misher Huff.
He went to school at Woodland Mills for a short time and then left to provide for his siblings. Willie in his younger years farmed and drove semi-trucks. He loved to fish, hunt, play Rook and pitching horseshoes and washers. Willie also loved grilling, aggravating his family and just piddling around in the yard.
Willie retired from Mid-Town Transmission after 25 years of service. He was known as “The Transmission Man” and was one of the best in the West Tennessee area. Willie also worked at Day after Day Trucking assisting with the building of transmissions and rear ends.
He married Agnes Sue Carr on July 31, 1964, with 61 years of wedding bliss.
While engaged Willie sent Agnes to LPN School and after she graduated, he helped with her younger siblings. He was a devoted husband and father to many.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Agnes Sue Huff, four children, Stephanie (James “BIG JIM”) Mosley, Sherry (Bo) Avery, Willie Scott (Hope) Huff, Shannon Huff and a special daughter Tracie (Nolan) Sims all of Union City, TN, and 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He is survived by a sister Evelynn Christine Caldwell, two sisters-in-love Apostle Barbara Bolden and Bishop Rachel Carr and a brother-in-law Bishop Timothy Carr and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Louis Misher from Fulton, Ky., Joe Bobby Huff from Union City, Tn., one sister Ada Mariah Huff from Chicago, IL. and, a niece he raised as a sister Velma Huff Mallett from Union City, Tn.
