Elder Willie Edd Smith, 76, of Dallas, GA, formerly of Union City died Monday, May 1, 2017, at his residence.Services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Greater Bethel Church of God In Christ. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.He was born on March 31, 1941 in Hickman, KY. To the late Milton Smith, Sr. and Elizabeth Morris Smith. He served 12 years in the United States Army military career. After faithfully serving his country he returned stateside and worked for Goodyear until he reached the age of retirement.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Smith, but leaves his children to cherish his memories: Dr. Fenecia Smith of Dallas, GA, Willie Smith III of Spartanburg, SC; Tamra (Jewel) Harper of Union City, TN; Minister Patrick (Freda) Smith of Union City, TN; Jason (Rhonda) Smith of Powder Springs, GA; Yolanda Smith of Jackson, TN. He will also be cherished by 23 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren and Eleven sisters and brothers: Carolyn (Bob) Tate of Ypsilanti, Michigan; Milton Jr. (Geraldine) Smith of Woodland Mills, TN; Terry Smith Sr.; Charles (Mary) Smith; Rinda (Raymond) Jenkins of Union City, TN; Christine Vanderford, Sarah (Jimmy) Olds, and Mary Von Smith of South Fulton, TN; Lillian Kynard of Toledo, OH; Ray (Joyce) Smith of Hickman, KY; Gaynell (Sand) Wakefield of Munford, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
