Wilma Knight

Mrs. Wilma Knight, 83, of Union City died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Golden Living Center. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Greater Victory Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. She was born March 30, 1929, in Henderson, daughter of the late Lois Wilson and Arlest Broyles. She was the widow of William Henry Knight and was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church in Union City. She had been employed at the former Obion County General Hospital and had worked for the Union City Board of Education. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Steven and Linda Knight and Trent Knight, all of Union City, and Elmer and Joyce Phelps of Martin; her daughter and son-in-law, Marla and Danny Bumpus of Union City; her brother, Willie Broyles of Roosevelt, N.Y.; her sister-in-law, Lottie Mae Carruther of Danville, Ill.; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
