Yolanda "Yogi" Hayes

Mrs. Yolanda "Yogi" Hayes, 45, of Paris died Monday, October 14, 2013, at her residence. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. M. A. Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born in Paris on December 15, 1967, she was the daughter of Alethea and Richard McClain of Jackson and Douglas and Rosilind Bragg of Richmond, VA. She was married on May 16, 2000, to Ivan Hayes, who survives. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and served as church clerk, secretary, and a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the mass choir, Voices of Redemption and Voices of Zion. She worked at Mohon International for several years and had been employed at Henry County Medical Center until her illness. She also leaves two children: Shadrick Tharpe of Detroit and Shadairea Tharpe of Paris; two stepchildren: Amber Hutcherson of Paris and LeAnder Hutcherson of Chico, Calif.; four brothers: Rekia McClain of Memphis, Terrence McClain of Hendersonville, John Jones of Clarksville and Douglas Bragg of Chicago; one grandchildren: Zaneria “Bug” Tharpe; a grandmother: Anna M. Richey of Euclid, Ohio; two nieces; two nephews; several aunts and uncles; and a special friend: Katrina Teague. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Mr. Caleb (Annie) Bragg, Mr. Robert Hasan, Dr. Charles M. (Anna M) Lewis and Mr. Dolphus O. (Annie K) McClain. Rawls Funeral Home - Paris 731-642-1515
