James "J.D." Capps

Mr. James "J.D." Capps, 69, of Mansfield, TN died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Henry County Medical Center. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. He was born April 19, 1943, in Henry, he was a son of the late Cornelius Capps and Ruth Elzador Guthrie. His wife, Annie Sue Boyd, survives. They were married Aug. 2, 1997. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Besides his wife, he leaves seven children: Candi Porter, Greg (Felisa) Kendall and Sharon (Jeremy) Byars, all of Paris, Clara Broshrod of Hazel, Brenda Capps of Murray, Gary (Pam) Kendall of Mansfield and Shondale (Johonna) Kendall of Metropolis, Ill.; eight brothers; five sisters; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
