Mrs. Julia “Judy” Elaine Turner, 56, of Union City died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, at McCabe United Methodist Church in Martin. Interment will following in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will begin 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Julia “Judy” Elaine Turner was born in Martin, Tennessee to Ceola (Thompson)
Belton. She attended Martin schools and graduated from
Martin High School. She worked as a CNA at Van Ayers
Nursing Home and decided to go to LPN school. She
became a Licensed LPN and began working at Weakley
County Nursing Home. She worked there for sixteen years
until she stopped to take care of her husband until his
passing. Later on, she went back to work and worked at
Goodyear, Union City Manor and Westview High School.
She leaves this family to cherish her sweet memories: her
mother, Ceola (Willie) Belton of Martin, Tennessee; sister,
Stephanie (Marvin) West of Martin, Tennessee; brothers,
David Lanier of LaVergne, Tennessee and Authur (Margie)
Misher of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, De’Sean
Hart, Jasmine Hart and Jordan Blincoe, all of Martin,
Tennessee and Kendrick and Kayden Hart of Midland,
Texas; niece, Nicole (Victor) Flowers of Nashville,
Tennessee; nephews, Eric and Brian West of Martin,
Tennessee and Reginald (Ebony) Clark of Cordova,
Tennessee; aunt, Calendar Ellison of Fayeville, North
Carolina; uncle, Roger Jones of Martin, Tennessee and a
host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lamar (Skeeter)
Hart; her husband, Charlie Turner; her father, Albert
Lanier and grandmothers, Lillian Lanier and Mary Nunley.
