Mrs. Evie Obasi, 70, of Fulton died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at her residence. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at South Fulton Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. She was born April 14, 1944, in Fulton, Kentucky to Ella Mae Blythe and George Woods. She was a homemaker and a member of South Fulton Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Janette McCarter of Fulton, KY; two sons, Tom (Leslie) McCarter of Union City, TN and Tyrone McCarter of Fulton, KY; a grandson, Chi’ Ja-Lee Williams of Union City, TN ; a sister, Shirley Wilds of Louisville, KY; a sister-in-law, Frances Blythe of Jackson, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ella Mae Blythe; her father, George Woods; three brothers, James Wakefield, Bernice Blythe and Preston Blythe and a son James Blythe.
