Gladys Mcclain

Ms. Gladys "GG" McClain, 84, of Cottage Grove died Friday, October 8, 2021, at her home.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born May 9, 1937 to her late parents Milton and Willie B. McClain in Cottage Grove, TN.

Gladys was reared and educated in Paris Henry County School System.

After 35 years of living in Chicago returning home to help care for her ailing parents. Upon her returning she also became a faithful member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

Gladys loved gardening, flowers and painting. She was a very well-spoken person and outgoing. Crazy about her nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, James McClain; brother, Wendell McClain ; and sisters Millie McClain Fuller and Elizabeth “Nina” McClain Kidd.

Gladys leaves behind Ada Sue McClain and Pearlie Kidd both of Cottage Grove, TN; Betty (Jimmy) Harris of Washington, GA, Shirley Hudson of Paris, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and family.
