Gloria Jean Taylor (Glo, as some fondly called her) was born May 31, 1969, to Betty Horton and James Jones.

She attended Fulton City High School. Gloria married Tyrone Lee and began a family with him until his death on January 2, 2017. Gloria worked as a home health aide and cared for many at the local Nursing Home and even some in their homes. She always treated them with love and compassion, as if they were her own family. Gloria also worked serving others at the Fulton McDonalds.

Gloria began her Christian journey at Mount Olive under the leadership of Rev. Marvin Mercer, Sr. She attended Sunday School and was an active member of the Kitchen Committee. One of her greatest joys was helping her mother prepare dishes for church fellowships.
Gloria lived the life of a " servant.” She fed the hungry, sat with the sick, cared for others' homes, and gave all she had to those who needed a helping hand. Gloria was well known in this community as a selfless friend and loving mother who always wore a smile even when times were tough. Even in sickness, Gloria loved and served others with every moment she was given. She let nothing rob her of who she was created to be—one of God’s servants.

Gloria lived a life focused on her family. She raised her children and grandchildren with equal love, always encouraging and supportive. Her children can rise and attest to how she “blessed” their lives. The remaining members of her family say goodbye with heavy hearts from missing her but also with joy, knowing that her life was not in vain.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Betty Lou Horton, father James Jones; her children, Cherish Taylor, Antoine Taylor (Mary), Tynisha Taylor, Tyiesha Lee, Tyler Baggett; nine grandchildren, Charidy Taylor-Currie, Anthony Ross, Jr., Jaquivous Ross, Cambree Cobb, Amarivous Ross, Morgan Beard, King-Antione Taylor, Chancellor Taylor, Laveya Hall; four sisters, Mary Ann Taylor, Delores Hudson (James), Millicent Williams, Rhonda Haley Gray; six brothers, Jamie Jones (Vickie), Robert Jones (Darshetah), Kevin Jones, Deparis Chambers, James Daniels, Kenneth Daniels; In-laws Betty Anderson, Polly Anderson Clark, Ruby Anderson Scott and Perry Anderson; two God kids, Shantel Taylor, Takyra Taylor and special friends Victoria Grubbs, Kimberly Baily and Dennis Jones.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrone Lee ; grandparents, Johnny and Augusta Taylor ; and great-grandparents, Mary and Gus River.
