Mr. Rodrica "Rod" Johnson, 46, of Union City died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Greater Bethel Church of God In Christ. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Church.

Rodrica “Rod” Cavell (Broyld) Johnson born February 20,1975 to Stanley Wayne Broyld and the late Stephanie Yvette Foster. He departed this life on August 24,2021.

Rod attended grade school and high school and graduated in Union City, TN. He was saved at an early age and attended Pilgram Rest Missionary Baptist church in Union City, TN in his younger years. Rod enjoyed hanging with family and friends being the life of the party. He had a smile that would brighten any room he walked into.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a son Chamonte’ Marquise Johnson (mother Chalyndria) of Paducah, KY, two step daughters Precious (Serenity and Justice) and Jamanda (Kenslei) of Fulton, KY. His father Stanley Wayne (Sonja) Broyld of Augsburg, Germany. An Aunt Edna Watkins, who is like a second mother of Smyrna, TN. A sister Lafaye Johnson of Nashville, TN, Sisters Sabine Gashi, Vanessa (husband) Gougalakis, Jasmine Sandra-Mae Banks, and brother Brian Broyld, all of Augsburg, Germany. An aunt Regina (Mark) Wilkins of Union City, Tn. Mary Bell-Broyld of Rochester, NY. Uncles Melvin (Carolyn) Polk of Jackson, TN and Starling Banks of England. A life partner Victoria Grubbs of Fulton, KY. Maternal Grandfather Jimmie Fuller of Union City, Tn, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Stephanie Y. Foster, maternal grandmother Dorine Johnson , paternal grandparents Conyers Broyld Sr. and Almellia Broyld-Weatherspoon, Uncles Derrick Johnson and Robert Watkins, Aunts Frances Kerney and Rachel Weatherspoon.
