Candi Moneka Porter

Ms. Candi Moneka Porter, 58, of Paris died Sunday, January 21, 2024, at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27,2024, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the funeral home.

Candi Monkea Porter was born to the late J.D Capps and Rosie Mary Ruth Porter on August 26, 1965, in Paris, TN.

Throughout her youth she was involved in sports where she found her passion in softball. Candi graduated from Henry County High School in 1983. Upon graduating she began working by doing factory work. She later began to DJ. She enjoyed doing that for years. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as having fun. She was a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E Church.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her time on earth, two brothers; Don and Richard Porter, three sisters; Clara Bushrod, Brenda Capps, Ramona Tharpe, uncles; Jimmy Porter and Fred Porter, aunt; Bobbie Rowe, a special friend Artrell “DeeDee” Palmer, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding her death are her parents; J.D. Capps and Rosie Mary Ruth Porter, brother; James D. Capps Jr., aunt; Anna M. VanDyke, uncles; J.W and Joe Porter and a cousin; Chris Porter
