Mrs. Kathy Vincent, 69, of Martin died Saturday, September 21, 2024, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at McCabe United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Parham Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at on Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Kathy Aneeta Jones was born March 31,1955, in Martin, Tennessee, to the late Ms. Frankie L. Jones and Mr. Doyle Pearson. She began her education at Weakley County Training School then went on to graduate from Westview High School. She shared a beautiful life filled with love and devotion, supporting everyone through thick and thin. She then fell in love with the late John Vincent, and they were married on August 14, 1987, and from their union came Tonyua Vonner, Lajuana Taylor and Dr. Christopher Vincent.
Kathy was an active member of her community, participating in various church events and local outreach programs. Mrs. Kathy was known for her warm smile, compassionate nature, and unwavering faith. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord & Savior at an early age at McCabe United Methodist Church, where she served in every capacity from the head of the Youth Department to the United Methodist Women. She was a devoted member of the Senior & Spirits of Love Choir and made a major impact as “THE” Sunday School teacher.
Throughout her life, she was dedicated to her family and friends, often serving as a mentor and source of inspiration to those around her. She was a loving mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, teaching them the importance of faith, hard work, and kindness.
In her professional career, Kathy excelled as a preschool teacher at the Drug Free Public Housing- “Round House” and then began her profound babysitting career with the Cinnamon Toast childcare where “You could get a plate and every child will be safe,” Mrs. Kathy’s caring demeanor made a lasting impact. She was respected for her commitment to her work, always going the extra mile to ensure that those she served received the best care possible. Ms. Kathy then enrolled herself in graduate studies at Ultimate Medical Academy and graduated with honors with her Associate of Science in Health Science as a Medical Administrative Assistant in April 2017.
She’s proceeded in death by her late husband John Vincent, sister Clara Hamilton and brother Joe Lloyd Jones.
She leaves to cherish her two daughters, Tonyua Vonner (Earl Bean) and Lajuana Taylor and one son, Dr. Christopher Vincent (Aileen Vincent); three Grandsons, Bernhardt Tyler Dotson III, Keith Norris and Kylan Vonner; three Granddaughters, Alya Vincent, India Coleman and Angelina Vincent and a host of Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A best friend for over 60 years Cheryl Henry, a “Special nephew” Roland Hamilton and a “Special great niece” Chermain Ward. A special and dear “Sista” Belinda Brooks-Lawson and 2 Godchildren Belincia “BB” Brooks and Bradason Lawson and her “Special Angel” Emma Quinn Porter.
Her legacy of love, service, and dedication to her faith and community continues to inspire those who knew her. Mrs. Kathy Aneeta Jones Vincent will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but also for the profound influence she had on the lives of others, leaving behind a lasting mark of goodness and grace
