Pastor Michael Paul Crumble, aged 48, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Memphis. He was the devoted pastor of Progressive Baptist Church in Martin, TN.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
Pastor Michael Crumble, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, pastor, and friend. Michael was born on June 9, 1978, the beloved son of Patricia Ann Crumble and Neil Byrd. He graduated from Fulton County High School in 1997.
God called Michael into ministry in 2003. He was ordained in 2008 and accepted the call to pastor Progressive Missionary Baptist Church (PMBC) in February 2023, faithfully serving his congregation with love and integrity.
On May 30, 2026, Michael and the love of his life, Angelia, were united in holy matrimony.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Angelia Crumble; his children Mickia Crumble, Michael Crumble Jr. ("Chance"), Tyler Crumble, Aniah Crumble, and Asiah Crumble; bonus children Julius, Quinterence Cohn, Brandon Fenton Jr., Christion Fenton, and Markel Cohn; grandchildren Khylen Crumble and Kyrie Crumble; his parents Patricia Ann Crumble and Neil Byrd; siblings Morris Crumble, Thomas Crumble (Tamara Crumble), Teresa Crumble, Josie Crumble, Leroy Crumble, Priscilla Crumble, Joseph Crumble, Tom Jr. Crumble, John Crumble, Thelma Faye (Kenneth) Reeves, Jimmy Lee (Jennifer) Ware, Harold (Bertha) Ware, Calvin Ware, Bobby (Vanessa) Ware, Lorenzo (Mary) Ware, Lois Ware, and Betty Gene Gipson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Ware, Sr.
