Mr. Warren Cleavon Johnson, Jr., 55, died Friday February 20, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Visions Community Baptist Church.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Visions Community Baptist Church.

Warren was born on July 14, 1970, to the late W.C. Johnson, Sr. and Linda Wiese. As the eldest of six children, he carried both responsibility and strength from an early age.

As God would have it, Warren accepted Christ in his childhood and began developing the gifts the Lord had placed inside of him. Self-taught and deeply passionate, he learned to play the piano on his own. His love for music was nothing short of extraordinary. As a young boy, he began playing at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, where he also founded and led the youth choir. His dedication and natural gifting were evident even then.

Warren attended Union City High School and later earned his GED, demonstrating his perseverance and determination. Over the years, his phenomenal keyboard skills led him to serve in several churches. He faithfully played for many years at Pleasant Hill in Hickman, Kentucky, blessing congregations with his anointed musicianship.

Following the passing of his brother-in-law, Dwayne Hensley, Warren felt another calling upon his life. He stepped in to continue the work at Visions Community Baptist Church, where he not only served faithfully as a musician but also became a devoted member. His dedication to the ministry was immeasurable. Visions Community Baptist Church was uniquely blessed to have two great musicians in one family legacy.

Warren was blessed with one beloved daughter, Kiara Richie, whom he loved unconditionally. Their bond was strong, and he treasured every moment as her father. On February 14, 2004, he was united in marriage to Anne Marie Johnson. Through this union, he was blessed with three wonderful stepchildren, Troy Gossett, Jerrell Gossett, and Jerry Gossett, who loved him dearly and embraced him as their own. Warren’s love, laughter, and musical gift will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving mother, Linda Wiese; one sister, Yolanda Hensley; four brothers, Derek Johnson, Eric Johnson, Andre Robinson, and Alex Robinson; his devoted daughter, Kiara Richie; his beloved wife, Anne Marie Johnson; his cherished stepchildren; and a host of extended family, church family, and friends.

Warren was preceded in death by his father, W.C Johnson, Sr.; grandmother; Margaret Woodson, uncle; Howard J. Banks, stepdaughter; Melissa Wiley, and son in-law; Christopher K. Richie.

Warren was a devoted uncle to his many nieces and nephews, loving each one wholeheartedly. His laughter, guidance, and presence will forever be treasured and deeply missed. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
