Mrs. Mary Pool, 91, of Hickman, KY died Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.

Ecclesiastes 3:2-A Time to Be BORN: God’s chosen vessel, Mary Juanita “Lassie” was born September 23, 1934, to the late Henry Clay and Annie William Pool in Hickman, Kentucky.

Ecclesiastes 3:5- A Time to Be Embrace: Mary “Lassie” accepted Christ at an early age at Bryant Chapel Freewill Church in Hickman. KY. She later joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member.

Ecclesiastes 3:7-A Time to SEW: Mary, affectionately known as “Lassie,” lived a life devoted to service and compassion. She was always on a daily mission, faithfully visiting the sick and shut-in. Lassie would walk for miles, often refusing a ride, because along her journey she would stop to check on those in need, offering comfort to the sick, support to the bereaved, and fellowship to family and friends. Her footsteps were marked by love, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others.

Ecclesiastes 3:9- A time to WORK: Lassie faithfully labored in domestic work throughout her life. She took great pride in her work with diligence, care, and integrity. Her strong work ethic and willingness to serve were a reflection of her character, dependable, hardworking, and committed.

A Time to Say GOODBYE: Goodbyes are not Forever, are not the End; It simply means, I will miss you until we meet again.

After Ninety-One years of life on this side, Mary “Lassie” transitioned to her promised home in glory on Sunday, February 01, 2026, at 4:15 p.m. at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation Fulton, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by Her parents- Henry and Annie Poole; A brother-Georgie Pool, five sisters-Lorine Smith, Mattie (Nub) Thomas, Virgie Pool, Annie Della (Tospie) Pool, brother-in-law, Johnny Smith, three nephews, James (Bud) Thomas, Freddie Thomas Sr., Roy Thomas, one niece, Ramona Fitts, and son in law Calvin Wayne Wilson.

Ecclesiastes 3:4- A time to Mourn: Mary “Lassie” leaves to cherish her one and only daughter, Shirley Wilson, Hickman Ky, three sons, Roland Poole, Hickman, Ky, Benjamin (Sabrina) Adams, Martin, TN, James (Delrita) Adams, Paducah, Ky, Nine grandchildren, Steve (Alisha) Wilson and Jarvis (Yvonda) Wilson, Hickman, Ky, April (LaShawn) Webster, Jackson, TN, Benjamin Adams Jr., (B.J.) Hickman, Ky, Dylan Ranson, South Korea, Zoe Adams, and Brooke Adams, Martin, TN. Delarion Johnson, Paducah, Ky and Arionna Johnson, Clarksville, TN. Eleven Great Grandchildren, Brendan (Ronieka Blair) Wilson, Justus Wilson, Tristen Wilson, Jamya Clay, Nyjha Webster, Dashawn Gregory, Roy’Elle Lincoln, Na’Zyia, Ja’Dale, Ah’Leja Johnson, and her baby girl, Mahogany Webster. Six Great Grandchildren, Brendley Wilson, Avalynn Nolan, India Wilson, Kaysen Springfield, Kayden Wilson, and Cali Wilson. Four nieces, Helen Harvey, Dorothy (Michael) Benford, Hickman, Ky, Jessie Douglas, Paducah, Ky, Teresa (Otis) McKinney, Paducah, Ky, and one nephew, Henry (Wanda) Thomas, Union City, TN, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lassie had several caregivers who helped her during her later years as her health declined. She had three that she considered her favorite. Stephanie Haley (Fulton Nursing Rehab), Steve Wilson (grandson), and Eloise Moss. Lassie was admitted into Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on May 2, 2019, until her transition to be with the Lord. Her roommate was her niece, Dorothy Benford.
